TOW The Wedding Crasher

So, the dance is in full swing. The day has gone off swimmingly - except for when my brother forgot to bring my vows with him, but... I just made up some stuff. No big deal - ONLY VOWS, RIGHT. Everyone has stuffed their faces with yummy meals and cupcakes galore.

We're all dancing our faces off, drinking like fish, generally being awesome. I see some dude walking around that I had never seen before. I knew there were a few people there with dates that I hadn't met yet, so I just thought he was one of them. I immediately judged him because he was WEARING JEANS so I was thinking WHO THE CRAP WEARS JEANS TO MY WEDDING. I didn't think much of it, just saw him sitting at a table, standing on the dance floor, etc.

I'm standing at the bar, talking to one of the bartenders about my shoes. I asked him where the other two guys went off to - he didn't know, just said they went tearing off towards the front. I don't remember exactly how I found out at that point, but I found out that THAT GUY had just tried to walk out WITH oceancurrents'S PURSES. My first thought was HOLY CRAP, MUST FIND KERRY and my second thought was SOMEONE'S GONNA GET CUT.

I tracked down Kerry, found my own purse, told a couple other people who had items in the same area to find their belongings. Things were fine - Kerry wasn't missing anything and neither was anyone else from what I heard. Both hofmannison and edcookdotorg offered to kick some ass, but I told them it wasn't necessary. I'D DO IT MYSELF TYVM. I went outside ready to tear the guy a new asshole. YOU DON'T DO THAT AT MY WEDDING.

When I got outside, the cops were already there and they were frisking him and putting him in cuffs. NGL, it was good to see him being put it cuffs. A few friends were out there watching and checking on things. Kerry came out to watch the show as well :) I was still ready to go over and scream at him, but when I saw my brother I told him to come over and talk me down. He said "Why do you think I'm out here?" He knows me so well.

At this point, the guy was being put in the cop car and he fell down on the way there - he was stupid drunk. I talked to one of the cops real briefly and missed out seeing/hearing the guy mouth off to one of the cops because the next thing you know, he's on the ground face first and had gotten his head slammed onto the car just prior to that. It was at that point that I just felt sorry for the bastard.

From what I know, he didn't get away with anything: no cash, no cameras, no wallets, nothing. He also didn't get away with ruining our evening - we didn't let it. I felt so bad that it had happened at all and happened to Kerry :( but I was glad that it had been taken care of so quickly and so well.

I think he would've reconsidered messing with us if he knew just how many black belts were in that cave... or if he saw this guy:

DO NOT MESS.

weddings: mine!, vanya, so good with people, kerry
