New Year's Update
I resolve to write in my LJ more, so you people won't be deprived of your Matt/Marius fix. There, you happy?
It's been about 2 months since I've updated this thing. Which is a long time, I realize. Yet surprisingly little has happened.
Another semester has come to an end, with grades that are acceptable yet not really what I'd like.
Christmas has come and gone. I spent a lot of quality time with family, mainly, but also some with friends from a long time ago. The time spent with my family always gives me strength. As I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate the stability and love present in my family life more and more, as I realize that fewer people than I believed had it when I was a child actually do. Getting together with some of my friends from high school was surprisingly therapeutic (sp?). I always kind of thought I'd be the type of guy who'd leave those days behind...God knows I didn't like them very much. But it was fun talking with people I hadn't seen in a while about the direction their lives have taken. It's often surprising at this point, so far removed from who you knew them as then.
Moriah came and visited my family, and we had a great time. Then I went and visited her family, and we had a great time again. I'm so incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful girl. Details of the visits would probably be boring to you guys, so I'll spare you them. But the upshot of it is that I've had a fantastic week.
I have deep thoughts on my mind; deep thoughts that have been formulating over quite a while. I think I'll share them later, as this post is long enough as it is, and I think I need more time to properly develop them.
