This flood sucks. The last one was better. [And yes. She was stuck with O'Brien for that one.] And Admiral, this had better be temporary. I don't need two inmates.

I don't think anything is unforgivable, but I do think that... you shouldn't have to withstand things indefinitely. If someone does something to you... and you express to them that it hurt you, and that it is wrong, but they keep on doing it? Or they find other ways to do it, without ever seeming to learn or care that it's hurting you?

Then eventually, I think you have to stop allowing that person to do those things to you. It doesn't mean that it can't be forgivable.

[He's thinking about O'Briiiiiiennnnnn a little bit :c]

...There's a saying. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Like that?

Yeah, like that. Only, not really like that, because, still shame on them, and you shouldn't feel ashamed for trying to be forgiving, but... well, eventually you get a choice about whether you're treated badly or not. I think that sometimes you need to walk away.

...Do you think we let ourselves be treated badly? Like, is there some signal we give off or something?

I don't know. I do think it's very easy to start wondering if there's something wrong with you, because this keeps happening to you and not to other people, but I don't think that... looking at it as something that you deserve, or you should have seen coming, helps at all.

Knowingly hurting someone is wrong, even if they don't resist.
