He ain't heavy, he's my brother?!?

So I got back from Katie and Martha's this morning (when I got home last night from class there were 8 sailors just chilling in my apartment, so I decided to not even deal with it), and had just enough time to check emails and whatnot before heading out to class. For whatever reason, I forgot to check Facebook until I remembered that I had sent Becky a message yesterday afternoon, and I wanted to see if she'd replied. Sure enough, there was a message in my inbox. But it wasn't from Becky.

My half-brother, who I haven't seen since the last time Scharlene was around, has found me on Facebook. He sent me a message saying, "I'm not sure if you're the person I'm looking for, but if you are, then you have a sister and your father is named Mark. You're my little stepsister!"

Of course I messaged him back telling him that he's right, I'm his sister, and dashed out my email address before I had to run to class. What's really amazing is that I was just thinking about him this past weekend, wondering what he was up to and if I was going to ever see him again. God, the last time I saw him I was what? 12? 13? Somewhere in that age group.

I remember Dad telling me that he'd seen Michael a few years ago (I think I was still at Macon? Or maybe it was senior year of high school, I don't remember), but nothing since then. It's kind of exciting. I've been thinking about him a lot recently and wondering what he's been up to, and now...it looks like I'm going to get the chance to find out!

With an omen like that, the rest of this week can't be that bad. : )

family, brother, wtf?
