Here it comes
*Sigh* the end is near. Contrary to my hopes, this job is ending in exactly 14 minutes. They actually found someone today who'll start on Monday. I think the COO interviewed 4 girls today. I wonder which one it was. As the last one left she sad "Bye sweetie." I can't decide if that was condiscending, slightly flirtatious, or habit. *Shrug* So as of now I have no work on Monday, which I'm not really complaining about. These short little vacations are nice. I talked to my manager at the agency and she said there might be a job lined up for next week, but it depends if the person assigned works out. If not, I'll go in on Tuesday to be the Assistant to the Curator at the American Federation of Arts. That sounds figging sweet! I'll take it. Not to be mean to the other temp whom I've never met, but I'd be nice for me if it didn't work out with him. Things happen, maybe it won't be a good fit. Plus it's a 3-4 week assignment, which is just perfect. We'll just have to see what Monday brings.
Monday, though, will bring Mike back to NY, so hopefully I can see him that night or Tuesday. It will also bring more friggin' thunderstorms...which I don't mind watching from a window while I'm warm inside, but trekking from the subway to an office in it sucks. Especially now that I'm SO paranoid about falling after I slipped a couple weeks ago, then almost slipped a few days after.
So, my parents are away in the Hamptons this weekend to stay with friends, and I'm stuck all alone in my big empty house with 2 cats. Oh yeah, this past Monday I had to put my kitty to sleep b/c he had some sort of stomach cancer and was dying. It was sooooooo sad; I was hysterically balling in the vet's office. But I don't want to talk about it. Anyway, it sucks that I'm far away from everyone and no one can come visit, have a party, etc. We must organize a NY weekend meeting soon, before Suzy and Cass leave for Espana!! It's been too long since i've seen my bestestes!! Iris, any chance of flying out here?? Hop a UFO or something.
Well, 2 minutes left, so I should probably load the dishwasher and clean up my shit. Talk to y'all soon!
