I have officially bought my plane ticket to London. I'm leaving June 2, and coming back June 10. I wish I could stay longer, but I need to work to be able to pay for the ticket. After taxes and insurance, it was about $1200, which is tons of money, and I put it on my credit card. Part of me says that this is a really bad idea, because I don't want to be in credit card debt, but I know that if I continue to spend and save wisely, then I'll be able to pay for it before summer is over. I really won't be spending much money this summer except on gas. I'll be staying at home, so I don't need to pay for rent or food, and I'm going to be working as much as I possibly can.
I'm also excited to be able to read this summer. Some of the stuff I'm reading for class is a little bit interesting, but I might not choose to read it if I weren't in the class. I'm going to read a lot of Kurt Vonnegut, I know, and probably some history stuff. I've been really into WWII lately, so I'll probably read up more on that.
Also, I'm going to Auschwitz. I don't know if I've told you all about that. It's going to be really amazing and heartbreaking. I'm so excited! Although Tessa will be crying the whole time, so I'll have to play babysitter :P
And my biggest goal this summer is to watch EVERY Meryl Streep movie EVER. My parents have Netflix, so I'm just going to take over their account and they won't be able to pick any movies until my marathon is over. It'll be amazing. I feel like Meryl and I will be connected on a whole new level :P

It's Tessa's birthday. I got her some Birkenstocks because her old ones were super crappy, and she forgot them in Florida. They were pretty pricey, but I figured since I already spent a billion dollars on my plane ticket, it won't hurt to put a little more money on my credit card. She really likes them, which makes me happy, because she's so hard to buy for. She doesn't really want things, which is good, I guess, because she's not a materialistic bitch, but then when it's time to buy her gifts, it's impossible to think of something to get her!
Her parents got here yesterday and we went out to dinner and then played some cards. Today we went to get free breakfast at their hotel (it was awesome), and they're out shopping now. I have to work at 1:00, so I'm just in the room until then. When I got off work, we're eating at Olive Garden.
Then after her parents leave, we're going with a group of people to the Egyptian, the hookah bar in Broadripple, which will be AWESOME.
Also, Tessa and I are buying a new hookah this month. This store, Amused, has a huge sale on 4/20 (they sell lots of drug paraphernalia...) and we can get a 4 hose hookah for about $100. Not wise spending, I know, but I figure I'll live a little. Plus, we're splitting the cost, so it won't be too bad.

I need to get ready for work now. Gross.
