[New]
Sam’s never been in a private jet before but he can’t really appreciate the luxury of it because he’s distracted by her hair brushing against his arm. It tickles his inner elbow and up his bicep left bare by the tee shirt he’s wearing. He’s slouched in his seat so that he can lean his weight against her shoulder. Every time she catches him watching her out of the corner of his eye, he diverts his gaze somewhere else. He can feel her eyes on him and it makes the corner of his lips tug up in a grin. His gaze meets her and they both look away.
Dean is going to tease him mercilessly about this.
She’s talking about New York City and getting her GED. He’s already agreed to help her by tutoring her for it even if he doesn’t really think she’ll need it. It’s part of the reason he’s going with her.
“Sasha said you could stay at her and Peter’s apartment if you wanted. If Angela shows her wicked witch side. They’re in France right now.”
Sam realizes this requires a response from him, something besides staring at her and he nods. “Yeah, that’s nice of her. I mean-I don’t really care where I stay. I’m good with anywhere.”
Her words trail off when she realizes he’s watching her, ducks her head and lets the blush crawl over her neck and up her cheeks. That makes his smile a little wider. He bumps her shoulder with his causing her to look up and meet his eyes. That’s when he leans in and catches her by surprise with a kiss. It’s brief, quick and he pulls back before she can do much of anything except look surprised at him. She always looks vaguely surprised when he kisses her and he kind of likes that. This is different from any relationship he’s ever had and he’s not even certain that that’s what this is. However, he doesn’t think Claire is the non-relationship type.
They were friends and now they’re something a little more. He’s content, for the moment, to just let it be whatever it is because it’s new. They don’t have to be going any particular rate or at any preset pace. She makes him smile and he makes her smile as well. That’s all he’s worried about.
