[The TARDIS rematerialises, like it usually does, just outside the hospital. There's gold dust on the ground all around it, blown up into the air as the TARDIS comes back into full view.

Once it's done landing, the Doctor steps out, a little grin on his face.]

Well, then. Here we are.

[steps out as well, and as she passes the Doctor touches his elbow, reassuringly in a way.]

It's almost pretty.

[notamartian]

Something has to fall from the sky. It's tradition.

[perennially]

Do you want to talk now, or should we just enjoy the moment?

[notamartian]

It's your right to decide. You've done enough today that it's up to you.

[perennially]

I think there are a few others who have priority for this talk. [looks up at the sky] So, let's enjoy it.

[notamartian]

It's suddenly a beautiful day. There's a trace of gold in the sky. And everything is over.

[perennially]

I wouldn't say 'everything', that makes it seem final. Maybe, the clouds are passing, for now?

[perennially]

And I told you, didn't I? I was making a choice. But, you're welcome, and thank you.

[notamartian]

[gives her a very serious look, for a moment, and then-- a laugh. And an elbow lightly nudging at her side.]

We did well, though, I think. All in all.

[perennially]

[has to smile back.]

Mostly well, maybe.

[notamartian]

Well enough. At least.

[perennially]

... I wouldn't say that we did it easily, either. I don't think they would say that either.

Ah! I said I wouldn't do that talk right now. Hmmm~, what should I say then?

[notamartian]

[laughing]

I can tell you're just desperate to give that talk, so you might as well get on with it.

I'll be patient.

It's nice, right now, just to exist.
