If you make a New Year's resolution, do you honestly believe you'll keep it?
When the new year comes around, it's normally every girl's mission to wish for another fifteen pounds lost, another cup size up, and a big smackaroo on the lips at midnight, isn't it? At least that's my New Year's resolution, definitely. What? I can stand to look a little anorexic, right? I, too, can grab the nearest boy and lay one on him to fill out my destiny for the new year to come! I, too, deserve to fill out a C-cup!
How do you fulfill that resolution anyway? Buy a box of Kleenex?
It's not really my tradition, to have a New Year's resolution. I used to try to sit up all night to watch the ball drop with my dad, but I'd always end up conking out on the couch with my face in a bowl of popcorn, for the most part. After that, it was being total BFF's with Lilly Kane, and if it wasn't parties, it was getting sloshed in the best friend's pool house and giggling your way into the new year.
I don't make too many New Year's resolutions anymore. I might have wished for a pony, way back when, before I realized it was something to change and a New Year's fairy didn't bestow gifts onto her children, Christmas style. My hair does that peroxide thing on its own. I fit into a size three. I get straight A's. I'm pretty good with that for now. What else can a girl improve on anyway?
Maybe I'll just try to be less clueless for 2008.
Or maybe I'll just go with the pony thing. Way more hope of success.
