I'd normally recommend you to first call for help, but considering how Mayfield is, I'd steer clear of it. So, now you're on your first, technically second step, you'd want to start chest compressions if the person's not breathing or is unresponsive. You push down on the middle of the chest-- [ She pauses to motion to the middle of her own chest. ] rapidly at the rate of 100 per minute, which is faster than once per second.
