townhouse
So the townhouse isn't quite mine officially yet because there's one more document to sign but it's 99.99% mine. I went over today and my mom and I steam cleaned all the carpets and used bleach to get the stains out. Now it looks a million times better all ready! The bleach trick only worked because the carpets are white, but now I don't have to replace them right away! I'm glad something can wait a little because there's a list of things that can't, sadly.
We also cleaned the upstairs bathroom and it's a lot better now. It's clean! Now to just get all the plumbing fixed in there - sink, toilet, tub - and then I can use it! I'm moving on Saturday and also get my new dishwasher. My mom offered to clean the kitchen while I move so that it's clean because we ran out of energy today. At least all the carpets are ready for me to move in and things are working out. One I finish cleaning the inside and getting all the plumbing/electrical things fixed and replacing lights inside, then I'm going to take a first pass at the garden and make it more acceptable. Then I can just do small projects and be happy :) I'm actually excited, despite all the work!
On a tiny sad note, I can't find my ipod charging cable (the one that attaches to the computer). I don't know where it went but i can't charge my ipod! Bummer! Oh well, I guess I'll have to buy a new one.
