[So with Teito gone and Shuri being all /brb not talking to you, Mikage has been kind of lonely as of late, though in typical Mikage fashion, he's doing his best to keep it under wraps. No point in making everyone around him just as miserable, right? Right. So to get himself out and about, he's chilling out at the fountain in the plaza, doodling

[Xander is also feeling kind of lonely. Willow's been scarce. Not even Giles has been around lately, which has led the boy to the conclusion that the librarian has been taken. He wants to go to Buffy and demand they form a search party. Except that he can't really look at her right now.

So instead, he is skateboarding around the square, not paying a whole lot of attention to his surroundings. He gives Mikage a nod and a wave.]

[Have a wave back! Drawing a skateboarder takes more effort than just a regular person, so he's been watching a bit to get a better look.]

Hey! What is that think you're riding?

[steadfastest]

[Xander stops and kicks the board up in his hands, offering it to Mikage for examination.]

What, you've never seen a skateboard before?

[Mikage takes it, turning it about in his hands to give it a onceover.] ...Nope, I don't think so. It looks pretty handy, though.

[steadfastest]

Yeah, I guess so--I mean, I'm no Tony Hawk but I can usually get by. You can give it a test run if you want.

[notakor]

[The name is lost on Mikage, but the offer isn't; with a chipper nod, he sets it down and stands on it, wobbling a bit as he kicks it forward.] ...Wh-whoa, this is kind of harder than it looks...

Yeah. Some guys wear helmets and everything. I just go by the Don't Fall And Everything Will Be Okay principle.

Sounds like a good plan. [Okay, he's starting to get the hang of it now.] Where did you find it?

[steadfastest]

Not bad, not bad. It was in the Items Shop. My mom accidentally--I think--sold it at a yard sale a year ago, so I was kind of surprised to see it there.

[notakor]

Lucky break! I'll have to check next time I'm there and see if I can find another.

[steadfastest]

You know, I could probably make one. I don't think it's that hard: board--wheels. Boom.

[notakor]

You think so? [Stopping, Mikage gets off and gives it another quick look.] Huh, it is kind of simple...

[steadfastest]

[Xander starts to sound a lot more interested now.] Yeah. Yeah, it IS kind of simple, isn't it? [He reaches out for the board.] Huh. Maybe that will actually give me something to DO here.

[notakor]

[Mikage gives it back, clasping his hands together behind his head.] Maybe you could take commissions! I bet more people would like a skateboard.

[steadfastest]

Not a bad idea. I've always been good with my hands, you know? Not so much with my head at times. [He tosses the board on the ground and jumps on.]

I'll see what I can do, okay?
