I thought I should update. So here I am, updating my lil’ heart out.
I’m finished going to school at Chico State. How weird is that? I mean, I know I’ve talked a lot of shit about this school, but I did learn tons here, and I did have some amazing professors. It’s kinda strange now, knowing that I’m never going to return to this town.
My weekend in New York was pretty amazing. When I flew in late Friday night, I took a cab into the city, and then my brother took me to a hot dog place in the East Village. It was really good. I just love the fact that it was almost 3:00 a.m. and the Village was alive and routy as all hell. I can’t wait to live there. After the scrumptious Griff Dog, we made our way over to the bar at the base of his building where we proceeded to get exceptionally drunk ‘till the sun came up. Is it even possible that I won’t like living in New York? I highly doubt it.
The next day we pretty much walked around Soho and the West Village, looking at neighborhoods where I might wanna live next year. After that, we went to a BBQ in Brooklyn. My brother’s friends are really amazing. The guy who owned the place is a head guy at Maxim Mag, his girlfriend a former grad student at Columbia, and then some random dude who competes in those world poker championship thingies. Weird. Needless to say, I sorta got a little intoxicated. I swear ,though, my life doesn’t revolve around partying. Seriously…it’s just been an intense couple of weeks.
The next couple of days in New York were full of running around looking at more neighborhoods, taking a (sort of) NYU tour and the like. It was great. I came back to Chico to a pile of work and study. I was very stressed until yesterday afternoon when I finally turned in my last final. Yay! Finished…though I didn’t feel like I did that well.
Fuck it.
My weekend is full of partying, packing, drinking, occasionally sleeping, and maybe a little moving. That’s all for now.
