Lulz.

Feminist myth #1.

"men's rights", btw, usually signifies "men's rights to sexually harrass anyone they want to", or "men's rights to automatically override a woman's opinion, no matter what"

Yes I got hit with that in a srs internet argument.

I do agree about conversations _about_ feminism, but in this case, it started out as a rant about an abusive partner with a "I guess I need some vigorous feminist support, here" and the insinuation that all men are idiots. I voiced that I was uncomfortable with this, and that I failed to see how this was in any way sexist (or indeed feminist), as she needed therapist help more than feminist help, and instantly, I became the evil hated. :) So feeling very much the jerk aspect, despite me being told quite uncertainly that I was the jerk for being offended and uncomfortable. The loudest voice, and indeed the most strident attacker, was definitely the trans goth boy, and I got the definite impression he was "arguing on teh internets" because he'd not answer my questions, but constantly attack what I was saying, usually out of context.

I'm not a feminist, in fact, I'm probably an unfeminist :) I'm not gonna shut up when I'm (or any other guy) is attacked with the feminist stick used under the guise of perpetrating sexism. I can see it's gonna get me attacked a lot in the future, but if that's what fighting for my equality means, so be it :)
