2002 - Hear'Say Disintigrate

She woke up to Gazza breathing in her ear and a loose spring poking into her back. Doesn't stop her from grinning to herself happily. But still, she's awake, and Gazza is dead to the world, and really she wants something to do.

Ooooooh, the microtransceivers. Cautiously she rolls off of the mattress and wanders over to the somewhat worn bucket seats up front, holding the two little machines in her hands. It can't be that hard, right? Despite what her teachers thought, she learned a lot in Virtual High - how to hack, for one, since her grades would have never let her pass as they were. How to make machines do what she wants them to do - otherwise she'd have been stuck watching what they wanted her to watch all the time. She uses a hairpin from her built-in collection to play with the innards of the little spies.

A burst of static from one of the machines makes her look quickly over her shoulder to check on Gazza, but he doesn't even flinch. A little more tweaking, and the static resolves into voices.

Where is this lot going?

Seven Seas of Rhye, same as all the other Bohemians and misfits.

Haven't seen a group this big in months. Kashoggi is busy, isn't he?

Seemed rather pleased with himself, yeah.

Scaramouche listens for hours as the Bohemians are taken away, and along the way learns a few things. Gazza will be so impressed.
