i finished work on friday.

andy has arrived.
we're celebrating with pancakes and coffee.
this afternoon is devoted to our sewing machine, to build backpacks and a quilt.
(we have great ambitions)

early monday we leave for the woods
seven days to break in my new boots
six nights under a tarp.

i'm at the heel in the first leafy sock
it's very exciting.

i fly home to san diego next tuesday
to knit with my mother for a week...

then back to school i go.
