You know when you buy something and it is

Double post from LoT:

On Sunday I bought a wooden arbor for the backyard. We stuck in in the CRV and brought it home. Today, I was going to do some planting and figured I'd put the arbor together first. Well, in the correctly labled box was a completely
different arbor.

I check nursery hours and they are until 6. Nope, that's not going to work since it is not going to fit in the Mercedes and the CRV won't be home in time. Plus, I think we got the last arbor in stock. So, I go through this whole process of being "mad" before I even call them. I know better than to call someone mad, so I wait and eat, then.....expecting the worst, I call.

WOW! I'm glad I got mad already because, if I had waited, I'd have nothing to get mad at.  They are getting me my arbor from
another store, delivering it to my house tomorrow and picking up the other one. That is pretty wonderful customer service! Go Armsrong!

I guess maybe getting pre-mad is a good thing because, I know that 90% of the things I get mad about don't come to fruition anyways. So, until the next time I get prematurally mad, I'm gonna laugh at myself and appreciate good customer service.

I find myself doing this about a lot of things.  I'll get mad for the first few fleeting seconds and then I just walk away.  That been a good thing lately since I've run across situations and circumstances where I could easily be irritated.  Most of the time, I find that the people or places that have irritated me aren't worth the energy I expend getting mad.  I'd much rather use that energy for more attractive things anyways, so it becomes easy to just disgard the anger.  Besides, is my anger going to stop someone else frm being crazy, foolish, dumb or shallow?  Nope.  They're going to go on doing the same things until it doesn't work for them any longer.  So, I'm taking the same route.  Shorter and shorter bouts of anger will lead me to being an even happier person.  Cool!
