The Chronicles Of The Fangirl: Her Toys

Jun 21, 2008 00:17

The rain soaked clothes laid strewn on the floor in the hall of her dimly lit apartment, but she paid them no mind. At least she was patient enough to change before taking a box in her hands again.
She had to walk a long way to a convenience store to pick up it. It was raining heavily that evening, summer had finally arrived to Nagoya with its sudden rains, thunders and hot air so difficult to breath. None of it mattered, she's been waiting for this delivery for weeks, months actually. As she walked into the store clerk pulled a box from under a counter, he must have recognized her immediately. She went there five days ago, but it had not been delivered yet and she had to leave empty handed. She tittered to herself, sometimes it was convenient to be a foreigner here, people remembered her while in other countries no one would spare the  second glance to such a plain-looking girl. The thought that he might have recognized her because of the maniacal gleam in her eyes didn't occur to her. The clerk breathed out a sigh of relief as she nearly ran out of the store holding a box to her chest tightly and hurrying to get home.
Now it was time to finally open it. Her hands shook slightly as she passed them over the cover of the box, she started to hum under her breath and tore the plastic off.
Naze desu ka? Anata wo shiranai no ni, konna ni mo mune ga itamu no wa.

And here they were in all their figurine glory. She cackled gleefully, now she could rightfully say that she owned Gazette.

She sighed, he was gorgeous no matter what. Even as a 10-cm high plastic skeleton. Even despite the Gangsta Cap of Doom.

Wakaranai dakedo itoshii. kurushii yo, anata wo miteru "nou" ga, she started to sing in loud voice. A big cockroach, that crawled from under a kitchen counter in a search of food leftovers, hesitated for a moment and then turned around and ran to the neighbors' apartment. It might be a creature that could survive a nuclear war, but it was not sure it was tough enough to take on an insane woman.
Her noseless boy... she felt mildly annoyed that he was at the backseat alone. And staring at Aoi's ass nonetheless! What the designers were trying to say with that?! His place was at the front seat next to Ruki!

Itsu ka boku ni kiduku toki ga aru toshitara,
Anata wa kitto kowagaru darou
Nigedasu darou. fuan ni ki ga kuruu.
Outside, the dogs howled. They were soon joined by a siren of an approaching ambulance called by the scared neighbors. It was another ordinary day in Japan, a dream land of any fangirl.
Author's notes:
1) The story is based on the true events of the evening.
2) I DO own Gazette now.
3) I probably should say that no one was hurt in a course of the events, but that'd be a lie. I killed that cockroach several days ago; crashed it with a slipper and threw its remains off the balcony. Now I have also defiled its memory in this sad attempt at humorous fiction.
4) My neighbors haven't actually called the ambulance. Yet.
5) I had fun writing it ;D

Don't take it the wrong way.
