Gwynn stood up. "Yes please, I'm very curious as to how this will work and making sure that I stay on the good side of those that maintain order and control of this bizarre place."

Seras nodded. She stood and made her way over to Gwen's side of the room and found the other girl's phone.

She explained as best she could about the setting up of voice mail: recording your message, setting up your password, etc.

"Do you think you've got it?" she asked.

[ooc: Thanks for moving the thread. *was just considering doing the same thing*]

Gwynn followed everything she was saying very carefully and then nodded.

"I believe so. Thank you for taking the time to help me do this."

She picked up the phone and went through the steps Seras had just shown her.

"You've reached Gwynn Hood in room #410. I am not near this device to speak to you, so please be kind enough to leave a voicemail in this device and I will contact you as soon as I am able. Thank you."

She hung up the phone and looked at Seras. "Like that?"

[[OOC: Normally I would have done this sooner, but I've been replying through Gmail and didn't realize it was like that. Moving it for better reading at any time is fine by me. :) ]]

Seras had watched Gwynn as the other girl had gone through the set up. Now, she nodded.

'Yes, that shoudl do the trick,' she said.

Then she grinned.

"Though, there's only one way to find out for certain."

Seras crossed back to her side of the room and left Gwynn a message.

After Seras got done calling her phone, Gwynn waited a few moments and then picked up her phone and went through the steps that her new roommate had shown her. When she heard Seras' voice coming through the phone, her face broke into a grin.

"It worked!"

Seras clapped and gave a little cheer.

Seras smiled back, pleased to see how happy Gywnn looked.

"My pleasure. Really," she replied, "And as I said before, if you ever need any similar kind of help, just let me know."

Seras laughed. Wait until Gwynn discovered television.

"I'm starting to think so too," she agreed, "So, what brings you to FH, Gwynn?"

Gwynn wrinkled her nose. "My father sent me here. He said it was so I could learn more ways of doing things to serve our king... and perhaps learn from other girls how to be more of a lady."

Seras nodded.

"Don't go in for the whole skirt-wearing, tea sipping, curtseying thing, eh?" she said with sympathy. She could relate.

Gwynn shook her head. "No, I don't and I don't see the sense in doing so. The King seems to like me just the way I am, but my father thinks I should be more like my mother was and less like him."

Seras sat down on her bed and tucked her feet up under herself.

"In what ways?" she asked.

Gwynn also got comfortable.

"He thinks I should replace my bow and sword with dresses and thoughts of marriage."

Seras blinked. Oh, that's right. People got married a lot younger back in Gwynn's time.

"So, you're a soldier?" she asked, "Like...like Joan of Arc or something?"
