Gwynn sighed, and then smiled. "If the Lord is kind, but Robin Hood has never been one known to change his mind once he gets an idea stuck in his head. However, I am my father's daughter and therefore just as stubborn as he is."

Shr tilted her head. "What brings you to this place, Seras?"

Seras blinked.

Robin...Hood.

Right, well, that was par for course, really. Trying her best to adapt to her new home, she shrugged it off and answered Gwynn's question.

"I came to learn to be a police officer," she replied, pausing. She was fairly certain that there hadn't been police forces in 1199..."That's a person who serves and protects the civilians in a city."

Gwynn nodded.

"You are wanting to be a sheriff to protect your people?"

Seras nodded.

"Something like that. You don't really 'have people' where I come from. So, it's more like protecting your neighbors or your fellow citizens."

Gwynn was silent as she thought about that for a moment.

"Friends, neighbors and fellow citizens are often your most valuable people and in need of defense and justice."

Gwynn smiled and then covered her mouth as she yawned.

"Sorry," she said sheepishly. "I guess I'm just a little tired."
