After saying goodbye to
Pagan and Javelin, Gwynn hadn't gone right back to the dorms. It would have been too hard. Instead, she had gone out to the preserve to wander for a little while. Both of her little girls had seemed so happy with the lives they came from and she was glad for that.
She already missed them both so much, though.
It was very late when she got back to her room and she made herself make up the bed that Pagan and Javelin had slept in -- but she couldn't bring herself to clean up any of the other stuff that was thrown haphazardly around the room.
Maybe tomorrow she would tidy up the stuff that her daughters had left behind.
Maybe.
She sat down on her bed and just watched the clouds and the stars outside her window. Sleep wasn't going to come easy tonight.
