Three months later, a group of dark-suited men sit in aghast silence as the projector flutters to a stop and the lights are turned back on.
“Gentlemen,” says the man at the head of the table as he shakes his head gravely. “I hardly need tell you about the severity of the situation. If our students cannot meet and collaborate in a comfortable, convenient environment, projects will not move forward, and...and…well, I shudder to think what would happen then.”
“Something must be done. Immediately.”
Four days later, a man in sunglasses radios headquarters from his post outside of Pinehurst cottage. Kelsey and Krissy have been observed discussing happily in the chairs directly between their two doors. Mission completed.
