Winter uniforms: readiness for different climatic situationYesterday here was cold: the temperature was about -11 degrees but strong wind and humidity made the "real feel" temperature about -17 degrees. Today the day is even colder. What a coincidence the yesterday was the official innauguration day of the international German led battalion. On occassion I tried to evaluate how well the soldiers from different (and often warmer) countries are prepared to serve in this country (photos from kaunas.kasvyksta.lt):
The hosts - Lithuanian soldiers. They should be prepared best for this country:
These uniforms are rather warm but I don't know how convenient they are:
Germans seems having similarly "warm" uniforms but probably more convenient :
Belgians looks unexpectedly well prepared for cold weather:
Very few photos with Dutch soldiers so it is difficult to judge:
Visiting American group looked not very well prepared for cold weather but they for short time only:
Official video with some more uniforms to see :))
