RP Thread : Duo and Heero

Apr 16, 2006 14:06

When: A Sunday around mid-day.
Where: Outskirts of the Sanq Kingdom, around a small shopping district.
Open to: Heero and/or anyone else in the area.
Notes: I know this isn’t the favorite way to play, but with everyone being rather busy with their lives lately and mostly all in different time zones, it seems much easier and more convenient for me to start logs this way right now so we can all play on our own times and at our own pace. At least it’s interaction and playing right? ^^;

Duo nudged the dark baseball cap he was wearing up so the shield wasn’t casting his face in shadow anymore and raised his head up to look at the sky. Light exploded over his face, so bright and strong that he had to close his eyes when they started to burn. It was a nice day out, bright and hot. Perfect day for hoofing it on a search.

Frankly Duo had absolutely no idea where he was going and how he was supposed to go about finding his friends. The only information Heero gave was that he was around the Sanq Kingdom so here he was, Duo happened to be close by and had been contemplating leaving Earth before having been...semi-invited to visit with his old ‘war buddy’ of sorts. He could show a picture to everyone he found and ask if they’d ever seen him like a missing a puppy. Make sense, and would probably even be the quickest way to pick up a Heero Yuy trail...problem was: no pictures, of anyone. There was a postcard in his backpack with a panther on the front-that he was planning on mailing to Hilde...eventually, when he remembered to write something on it-maybe with some creative tweaking, he could get it to a likeness of his comrade. Wouldn’t be too hard...the cat did look like it was frowning after all.

Duo laughed out loud at his idea, a thick, throaty sound that caused a few heads to tun in his direction to only receive a wide grin-(and a wink as an extra treat for the ladies)-in explanation for his outburst.

“Well I’m close, but still no cigar, huh?” Mumbling under his breath, he pushed back down his cap to shield his eyes from the piercing sunlight. “Come on sweet Lady Luck, take some pity on this poor travelin’ nomad and--”

Crash. His moment of distraction and having not yet looked up after covering his eyes, Duo had bumped into someone. A big someone with stacked baskets of merchandise, who wasn’t watching where he was going anymore than the younger braided counterpart. Apologies followed and Duo started helping with re-sorting out the food and linens. The shopper allowed it without much instigating about who was to blame for the collision...but Duo figured this guy probably wasn’t the best one to ask for directions or help with missing persons.
