Relena put down the document she’d been reviewing and covered her eyes with one hand as if to shut the words out. She’d been staring at them for far too long and wasn’t making any progress. She glanced at the clock and noticed it was well past midnight, which probably accounted for why she couldn’t concentrate. Eighteen-hour work days simply weren’t efficient.
With a slight sigh, she stared straightening up her desk. It was time and past to quit and she didn’t want to spend another night on the office couch, comfortable though it was. She called her security, telling the young man who was both bodyguard and assistant to bring around a car to take her home. Guiltily she recognized the yawn he tried to stifle as he talked to her.
Well, she thought, as soon as the mess is taken care of things will settle down and we can go back to Sanq for a while. With that happy thought to go on, she locked her desk, turned off the lights, and bustled out of the office.
Additional Comments: 6xD is my OTP. But…not really. I like 2xH. I have two real comments. First; I hate the fanon version of Relena (shallow, juvenile, stupid, and whiney) and hope that she will not be portrayed so here. I’ll do my best to show her as the strong young woman I love. Second; my schedule is shaky. I’ve got lots of spare time right now and for a few weeks to come, that’s unusual. Some days I may be on all afternoon and some days I don’t get home until 9pm. Sorry for this, but I’ll still do my best to be active in the game.
