the election of Barack Obama
This is a momentous occasion that I shared with a colleague in the rural sun filled snowy fields of polk county, WI. Here I was meeting about the campaign and we needed to break to see the inauguration of President Obama. I felt so proud to be American for probably the first time ever in my life. I was proud to see a brilliant man grace the podium. His speech was outstanding, moving, and very controversial. I filled with so many motions and just can't believe that after three long years we are moving into a new era where the US will be rebuilt. That is something I am so proud to be a part of. I proud to be part of that change.
It is a wonderful day and the whole world is watching us and him.
To a new page in our story. To a renewed pride in our country.
I sure hope President Obama can deliver the change this nation craves, needs, and deserves.
