I go by Lolli on this journal. It doesn't look like this comm has been active much anyway, but I'll post here anyway.
I'm 17. Still haven't had intercourse yet, but my boyfriend and I have done everything just short of that. We're long distance, met on the internet (It works) and I finally got to visit him earlier this month for a week. My mom paid for it only after I gave her lots of information and reassurance, and she trusts me.
The one thing I didn't tell her was that V is my boyfriend. He's 21. And I've known him for nearly 8 years now. She knew his age, but she hasn't had a clue about our relationship. I didn't tell her so she would be convinced he was safe and wouldn't have sex with me.
And I know people are going to think I'm naive, but I do believe we're going to stay together. As in a long term resulting in marriage kind of thing. So...my issue is...I need to tell my mom at some point. Because I want her to approve of us in the future and I don't want her to disdain this basis on 'lies.'
I'm not sure how to explain to my mom though that her 17 year old "little girl" (I'm fucking in college now...she doesn't want to let me go though) is dating a 21 year old guy who's almost done with college. And get her to approve.
Also; I'm on the pill, so she shouldn't be afraid of me getting pregnant. And I'd use protection anyway.
Any advice?
