Back from the wilds
This still works! How delightful.
I have been thinking about coming back for awhile as I've had some stresses in my life recently but I always pause before logging in.
I suppose I have decided that as much as it's nice to vent, I want to remain positive. A lot has happened since my last entry. I don't even want to look at my last entry. I was probably talking about Prince Charming or someone like that. Well ladies and gentleman, Prince Charming is a schmuck that took advantage of my kindness and caring until he found himself a "girl" out West. We'll call her a girl because I have no idea what kind of a person she is. But she must of felt the need to make sure that a friendship of 15 years simply ended at the press of an unfriend button. Thank you for showing me the light.
I am looking for work (again), and unfortunately now so are a lot of Canadians what with the drop in oil prices. I had an awesome job working for a theatre company. A theatre company! It was so much fun, and a great use of my creativity working their Social Media for marketing purposes and promoting them in the community at events. However, being that they are a non-profit they are reliant on grants, and grants mean writing grants and getting them approved by someone in some far off government office, which unfortunately means that denials come easier for them. So I had my hours cut to casual work, and I'm now returning to e.i.. But I gained more experience, and have now worked in a non-profit environment as well.
I think I have final found, THE guy though. We'll call him Teacher. After bumbling through several unfortunate souls I came across Teacher. We started talking in the summer, I made the poor decision to pass over him in favour of a wannabe country boy. When the country boy newbie failed (partially due to the fact that he was trying his best to work out enough to impress some hiring manager for the fire department, but mainly because I don't think he really wanted a relationship as he's a scaredy cat) I spent some time trying to recoup. I finally reached out to Teacher, as we had had some awesome talks prior to me cutting him off and him assuming I was just brushing him off. Two weeks ago we went on our first date, we've seen each other about 6 times since then. I think that means it's going well.
The biggest difference with Teacher is that he wants a relationship and he's very like minded. Communication is key, intelligence is sexy (therefore no dumbing down required, hallelujah!), he wants to plan the future, he wants to try new things, and he's positive about life in general. He also has the perfect combination of sarcasm and sensitivity which to some people you might read that and go 'what?' but that's me in a nutshell. I'm super sarcastic and witty, but I'm also very sensitive and don't want to really hurt anyone's feelings. Teacher knows when it's time to be serious and when he can just be ridiculous. Only time will tell, but for once I am so relaxed in a relationship (we'll call it that) the only thing I worry about is if I'm spending too much time away from my rabbit!
