Of Cameras and Colds

My "good" camera (that I inherited from my late father-in-law) started malfunctioning last year.  I took some very oddly-colored pictures with it last October and again over our Christmas trip to Charlotte and Orlando.  I hadn't been using it much because of this and was just a couple of weeks ago motivated to see if I could find any information on Sony's website about it.  Turns out that this was a known problem and they let me send it in for service.  They replaced a part for free and sent it back to me.  I got it back today.  Someone was incautiously sitting in the kitchen at the time:

In other news, I've been attempting to persuade the cold that wants to take up residence in my nose that it really wants to move elsewhere.  Massive doses of Emergen-C have kept it mostly at bay but I'm losing the battle.  Since we're flying out on the 18th and I have a whole week of work to get through first I plan to be spending tomorrow (and possibly Sunday, depending) in a medicated haze.  I'm  *so* thankful for online shopping at this point!
