Ostensibly, this is a homework session - after all, both their Divination essays could use proofreading. But Selwyn's been wondering about the artifacts for a while now, and they're out of the way enough that Regulus feels safe including Bella's list among the table's parchment collection (along with appropriate charms to deflect attention, of course).
"...A tiara?"
"That's what she said. I have yet to figure out what sort of tiara could be so important to someone who doesn't have a penchant for women's clothing."
"Well..." Selwyn trails off for a moment, frowning. "Maybe your cousin doesn't have the right word for it."
"How do you mean?"
"There's Ravenclaw's diadem, at least possibly. You've already got one Founder's artifact on your list, so it ties into what could be a pattern, and it's meant to be rather powerful in its own right. The only catch is it's generally accepted to be lost to the mists of time."
Regulus sighs. "That doesn't mean he didn't find it somehow. And it would also explain why he bothered messing about with women's jewelry. How did you know to think of the thing?"
"Founder's statue in the common room. Lovegood was always down there trying to figure out how he could replicate the diadem's properties - that sort of thing has a way of catching one's attention."
"I'd imagine so. Well, if we presume for the moment that Voldemort found the genuine article, the question becomes where did he put it when he was done?"
Selwyn shrugs. "First, we'll likely have to work out whether there's any pattern to his hiding places. That might come once we have a proper name to work with - my anagram charm's coming along nicely, by the way. Once I have a list of possibilities I'll pass it along."
"Brilliant." Regulus adds a note to the list regarding the possible lead on the tiara; it wouldn't do, after all, to forget something like that after it's been mentioned.
