[For Harry]
Whether by design or simple coincidence, Sirius' life seems to strike a balance in recent months. When he feels able to worry less about his godson, his girlfriend provides him new and confusing concerns, and Sirius, who has never considered himself particularly skilled at worrying over anyone, can't help but wonder why the hell everyone can't just be happy for awhile. It's always fucking something, isn't it?
Harry, at least, seems to have settled into island life well enough. He has a girlfriend and mates and nothing too awful has happened to him yet, although Sirius suspects it'll be coming down the pike soon enough. The island's propensity for dealing out difficulty completely aside, people like Harry and himself are magnets for it. They can really only go so long before everything goes pear-shaped again.
Every time that Sirius sees his godson and confirms that life hasn't upended yet is therefore a relief, even if Sirius has yet to fool himself into thinking it might be even semi-permanent. After everything that's happened to him, Harry deserves a nice, long break.
