I just got back from an odd funeral. The average funeral takes half an hour. The average attendance is about thirty. The average amount of grief(wether crying or any form of grief whatsoever) is usually minimal with one or two upset people. The average funeral is also some fairly old person. Todays funeral was none of these. A 19 year old kid that got hit by a car after crawling out from a bus died last week. Apparenttly it was on the news. About 200-250 people showed up to the service. When me and Joe lowered the coffin we were surrounded by relatives and young boys crying there guts out and at least three people throwing themselves on the coffin. It then took the attendees an hour and 15 minutes to finish there goings on. Normally i bitch when a funeral takes that long. Normally i have as much emotion invested in a funeral at work as i do in the 11 o clock news. Today... not so much. Those people could have taken two hours and i don't think i would have said a word. Out of roughly 500 funerals since i've worked at the cemetery it was easily the worst. Made me think of Jeffy. Made me think of other friends dying. Pretty much all the bad things you think of at funerals of someone you'd care about.. I prefer the ones were i don't give a damn thank you very much.
Fuck.
"what the fuck is yer name? And can you explain this mess?
