Appearance and abilities:
Since Shima's canon isn't widely known I thought a brief run-down of him and his powers would be useful for other players.
Appearance: On the taller end of five feet (maybe 5'8''-5'10'' ish) with dark skin and long, straight black hair past his waist. His hair has a reddish tint and he'll probably wear it loose most of the time.
Clothing: He'll probably be wearing the clothing of his people which is a kilt-like garment and a vest and maybe a poncho-like garment over it. He also has plain shirts and trousers (think closer to medieval than modern) and boots but he's less comfortable in them.
Language: He is fluent or near fluent in: Tah'nehsieh, Jehangli (most common dialect), Zharmartian, and Yerrin. He'll be very interested in learning the languages of the other campers and counselors if he can. He will pick up new languages very, very quickly and easily.
Abilities: Talent for languages aside Shima has several abilities.
Change: Shima becomes a very large, black dragon with red eyes. He's easily large enough to pick up and carry a full grown bull in dragon form but also more susceptible to "cold iron." He's extra sensitive to the presence of magic in dragon form as well though he possesses some immunity to magic used against him. Very strong magic can still hurt him, however. He can breath fire (it's a very red flame and very hot/strong) and, of course, fly.
Healing fire: In dragon-form he has a secondary flame that is blue-green and feels cool to the touch. While not foolproof this fire can heal many injuries and some sicknesses.
Mindspeech: In both forms he's capable of speaking to people with his thoughts. He can initiate contact with anyone and others with telepathic abilities can initiate back. Emotions carry much more easily on mindspeech and he can let others 'listen in' or make it very private. He's still new at it though so sometimes he may 'shout' a little. Mindspeech isn't mind-reading though. Emotions and images that carry over aside, only what someone wants to say will be received by anyone else in the conversation.
Senses/strength: Dragonlords are much stronger and more agile than normal humans. "As strong as ten men." They also have very sharp senses. In daylight their eyesight is comparable to a bird of prey and they have much better nightvision. They also have very sharp hearing. Other senses are also sharper but not so markedly.
Immunity: Shima is immune to being hurt by fire and heat. He could stick his hand right into a blazing fire and while it would feel very hot he wouldn't be injured. This holds true for any fire/heat of mundane origin. The only fires capable of hurting Dragons/Dragonlords in canon are dragon-fire and phoenix-fire. Dragonlords are also fairly resistant to illness, though colds and flu will still effect them mildly.
Spells: Shima can control the intensity of fires. He can make them burn far hotter than normal or quell them. He can't make fire, however. He can also warm up a room or space (this includes things like bathwater) if it's cold. Lastly he can create balls of light called cold-fire. They can come in any color, though Shima himself will never use red or green, and tend not to be bigger than a person's head. They are usually fist-sized.
Other skills: Shima is skilled in desert living and travel and also with a bow and arrow and long knives. He's very skilled with horses and loves them. He's also a skilled drummer and knows how to help put and keep people in trances with them. Lastly he loves to cook and bake and is pretty good at it.
Weaknesses: Shima can be killed by smoke inhalation and has a bit of a weakness to cold iron in dragon form, especially if he's in the middle of changing. He's also red-green colorblind (probably deutanopia, no green cones. He sees reds, oranges, and greens as weird gray-browns)
Ilyathan: Is a separate but connected soul of a dragon but he sleeps almost all the time. Ilyathan won't interact with others unless Shima is in grave danger but he is there. A psychic probe will probably pick up his presence.
His horse: Je'nihahn is an iron-gray stallion with a black mane and tail (very unusual coloring for any natural breed) and is pretty large and very well proportioned. As a Llysanyin he is stronger and has more stamina than a normal horse and also much more intelligent. Smart enough to understand human speech to some extent (explain how a dance works and a Llysanyin can follow it etc) even though unable to replicate it.
How Shima might ping people:
Shima has two (half) souls. One is human and the other is a dragon. They are one being, just two separate personalities inhabiting the same body. His dragonsoul, however, will be dozing most of the time and leaving things to Shima. So he will be giving off mild "Dragon!!!" pings to those sensitive enough even in human form.
Shima is very magical but his presence is ... hidden-ish. It's described as if he's "hidden in a fog" but at the same time this makes him even more sensitive to magic etc. He'll still ping as magical but be hard to pinpoint and this includes mentally and by shamans/precogs (it's canon that his future is hidden from his tribe's shaman). There are no strong blocks to probing his mind or anything, but you have to know he's there and be doing it intentionally.
