I find that I will wind up AFK tomorrow. This is problematic but not insurmountable. Y'all are getting this because either you've had nightmares, or volunteered a character for the getting rid of Freddy.
Tomorrow's the most likely time for a research party, I have asked Beauty if we can have the research in the library tomorrow. If so, I give modding rights to say that he was there, and gave the skinny on his nightmares, and the bit of shirt that he pulled out. Well not the whole skinny, the only dream he'd reveal details of is the one with bigfoot in the department store. But he'd say about Freddy, and what Freddy did.
when pressed he'd reveal that Freddy was "born" in the dream that got his arms cut up.
ANYway, research pulls up Freddy info Anything from the movies, except New Nightmare is fair game.
Reason he's here: Killing Freddy doesn't usually take because he's a spirit that can be given physical form if brought out of the dream, but that just sends him back to the nether, and as long as people are afraid of him, they'll dream about him and thus give him a way back. Hence the whole hypnocil solution which I thought was brilliant.
After Jason killed him he was stuck again and the hypnocil was working back home just fine. In his search for finding a way back, he stumbled upon Mileux. Springwood was his stomping grounds because he died there and thus had a little gate. Mileux's connected to so many realms anyway, that he was able to detect the dreams here. There were enough nightmares going around that he gained strength, and then Connor just had the perfect entrance for him.
Getting Rid of him: My suggestion, if no one objects (and I'll set up a chat room on saturday afternoon for the thing) is, using the Nac Mac Feegle, people can jump into someone's dream. Connor's game if no one else wants it. Grab Freddy and using the Feegle again, we get Freddy out into the real world. Where the fighty types get to beat the smack out of him. Go nuts, he can take it but it will cause satisfying pain.
Now to make sure he doesn't come back, I'm hoping that Susan's still on board, and/or we can convince Screwtape to take a hand. Susan with her Sword of Death, or what have you, delivers the killing blow, which totally fucks him up cause it damages the spirit, and effectively severs his connection with the world. Susan that work for you?
Then, if we can convince him, Screwtape could go "Right, no little side dream realm for you you little guttersnipe, off you go to hell right and proper this time." And in a specatular FX extravaganza, Freddy is gone. And Connor sleeps for a week. Except not cause he's still got the slightly more harmless bad dreams that attracted Freddy there in the first place. That work for youns?
Any other ideas, please tell me. I'm totally open to last minute changes, and might hopefully be able to at least check e-mail tomorrow.

Yes. Screwtape will be convinced. How about Screwtape just says, "You're coming with me." So we don't close it off entirely?

Pippi, I think, I will be putting into a coma for a little bit tomorrow. So if you want a stable dream, the hook can be that Pippi is stuck in hers (is there fore good bait for Freddie during the day when most other people are not sleeping) and tells the Feegle to check the library for people researching dreams for help.
