I will soon have my slacker life back. Yesterday was Election Day, and the Tukwila schools technology levy is getting a 53.22 approval rate. More results from the all-mail ballot will be released by the county elections department each afternoon until Feb. 24, when the election is declared final, but this first, largest result looks like a comfortable lead.
Running the campaign has been my life for the past six months. Those who run into me on a daily basis know this. I am an obsessive-compulsive normally, and this campaign fed that part of my personality. But, hey...there are things about the obsessive-compulsive personality that are beneficial. Not the must-have-all-the-cooking-utensils-in-the-proper-order thing, but the worry-about-the-end-result-until-it's-final thing.
I still have a list of post-election items to accomplish (because...did I mention?...I'm obsessive and compulsive), but I can actually see a time in the near future when I can go outside again and not be heading off to a meeting or some other campaign activity.
