Character: Nagato Yuki
Series: The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
Character Age: Three years old. (Appears and acts about 16-17.)
Canon: Nagato Yuki is a shy, serious, tight-lipped girl, who likes books and rarely speaks, even when people are directly speaking to her. That's her projected personality, at least. Yuki is actually a space alien, or rather, an organic interface for the Data Integration Thought Entity. A being created and sent to Earth to act as a liaison between the Entity and mankind, which has proven themselves worthy of investigation. Specifically, Suzumiya Haruhi, who is believed to be able to create anything out of nothing with only her own will, thus being the only known source of auto-evolution, and perhaps a solution for the Entity's own problems regarding... etc. etc. etc. Despite being akin to a puppet for an incomprehensible otherworldly force, Yuki does have her own likes, interests, and even begins to develop her own individual personality at the prodding of her schoolmate and friend Kyon. But she's well known for being the quiet girl, who sits in the back, and hardly ever says a word, always reading... usually science fiction.
Yuki receives orders from the Entity and possesses the ability to more or less alter the world around her at will with her command of "data", pure manipulation of her surroundings. Her powers are such that she dislikes admitting anything is impossible for her, but can usually provide reasons why she doesn't use her power.

Contact with the Data Integration Thought Entity has been severed. Likely originating from the barrier that encloses the camp. Continued lack of contact will make it difficult to continue the study of Suzumiya Haruhi. Possible theories regarding current space, 'camp':
Pocket universe: Suzumiya Haruhi, bored with the current universe to the point of exhaustion, but not Armageddon, has created a new reality to escape to personally. This reality, unbound by logic, reason, or the human social construct known as "decency," exists to placate her. Possibility: 50%
Beach house: Same as above, but this reality always existed. Suzumiya Haruhi among others is a prisoner, unable to return until the ratio of excitement to ennui reaches a yet unknown threshold. Assuming this is correct, Suzumiya Haruhi could be expected to return to familiar space in a time frame approximating... three centuries to five millennia.
Other theories negligible. Analyzing possible courses of action. . .
Deactivation of the barrier: Impossible. Lowering the barrier would free the inhabitants of the camp, consisting of at least eight differing genres of pop culture. The surrounding ecosystem would be devastated within a period of ten days. Permanent damage; cannot be allowed.
Contact with the outside authorities: Impossible. The very existence of the 'camp' violates at least three amendments of the United States constitution, as well as numerous local laws. At the exposure of camp, the government would fall from the resulting chaos within a year. "Societal collapse" has a tendency to cause damage to the nearby environment; cannot be allowed.
Standing up and walking away: Impossible. This is a laptop computer.
