you wanna know where i am? SCHOOL. I was abandoned, left with my 3 bags to just watch as my car pulled away without a backward glance. It disappeared into the abyss of suberbia and left me in my way-to-short pleated skirt that was flying up in the wind, and no free hands to pull it down... more than the strap of my gym bag tugged at my shoulders was the overwhelming sadness as i realized they had intentionally left me. they waited for their moment to strike back, the precise moment to vent their covert hostility had arisen and all i could do was stare with watery eyes and demand " WHY ME?".And then of course search around the multitude of kids whose parents were going to pick them up for a cell phone. Alone I sit in the library, destined for 45 minutes of solitude, woe is me. and the tears drip alongside the buttons of the keyboard to make each one its individual island, alone like me.
