Lets face it...we've changed. We've all changed. Somewhere between summer ending & school beginning we've all gone in our own directions. Hearts were broken, friends diminished, new loves were started and new people came into our lives. We no longer spend all of our time in our circle of friends, we no longer talk for hours about nothing at all. We've changed - some for the better, some for the worse. Some of us are finding love while others are trying to let go. Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world we all know that when the tears fall or the happy smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends.
life was so much easier when
the worst thing a boy could do was give you cooties
skinned knees were the only things that brought tears
a cutter was just someone who got in front of you in the lunch line
goodbyes only meant until tomorrow
remember when
getting high meant swinging at a playground?
or when your worst enemies were your siblings
and race issues were about who ran fastest?
how about when war was just a card game
and life was simple and carefree?
remember when all you wanted to do was grow up
