(no subject)
you know, the mice on the computers in the science lab really nice 5 buttons... how the hell did people survive before 5-buttoned mice? my god... seriously, i have to hit the 'backspace' key, or actually CLICK THE BACK BUTTON... christ, i'm a CS major, i'm too good for such trivialities.
speaking of being a CS major, the semester is almost over!!!! yeah... new semesters are always nice because they provide new motivation, new classes, and good times. plus i need a break. :P
so, you NNUers know how hard doc ganske is on aaron, right? higher standards, all that... aaron's pretty happy about the fact, though it DOES mean a ton more work for him. well, i've been coming to the conclusion that myers does the same thing to me. like, we just got lab 8 back... see, in lab 8, we were given two bits of code, and asked to write the third. the only mistake i made was declaring an unused variable... IN THE BIT OF CODE THAT WE WERE GIVEN. :P "well, drew, a good student would have caught that, wouldn't he?" "well, doc myers, a good CS prof wouldn't have written the crappy code in the first place, would he?" heh... good times, though i certainly bitch about it.
ooo, candy cane! (sorry... mindy just walked into the lab with one, which reminded me that they're on the tree outside... mmmm, candy cane)
but, yeah... finals are coming quickly, and i should probably be more worried than i am. ah, well... the criminology final is tonite, and to tell you the truth, i'm not too stressed at all. i mean, ster and i have been faking the class all along... tests, quizzes, etc. pulled out of our asses to a reception of top grades and compliments. lindsey is kinda worried about the test tonite, but really, we're not. i mean, is it a bad thing when your slacking gives you better grades than those who actually put forth the effort and are prepared? yeah... that's what i thought.
anyhow, OS is supposed to start in like 2 mins, so i guess i'd better grab my candy cane and head out... have a great day, all!
