Alas poor Yorick!

I was thinking, and i kind of want to tell you about Australopithicus robustus, my friend the skull here. I would say i knew him, but not only did i find the picture on google, but he's also, like, 1.8 million years old. That's old. And as it turns out, he was like, an evolutionary dead end. We are not descended from A. robustus, they were like an offshoot, or we were both like off-shots (?) or something like that. We both ultimately came from A. afarensis. Robustus died.

No, really, this stuff is interesting.

It turns out we can't possibly evolve anymore.

Like, you, right now, are you wearing glasses or contacts? Evolution denied! We can't evolve better eyes because having bad eyes does not impair our ability to survive. That's just one example. Very little impairs our ability to survive, anymore. But i'm not being like, "...and that's too bad!" Although... it'd be great if listening to 80's music did... (except U2, violent femmes, and the clash! And other bands that i like but don't know are from the 80's). Ok, not great, like, don't die people that listen to 80's music (SCOTT!!). But i do wish our tastes could evolve... to my tastes... ok. if you expected something deeper, like, what IS human evolution?? are we evolved?? ARE OUR THOUGHTS OUR OWN?! no, that's not happening. I mostly just wanted a reason to do the hamlet reference. So now that i've rambled, i need to sleep. Have a good Holocene epoch.
