I am in front of you; I appear behind.
Those who run from me run into my embrace.
A man who faces me has turned his back on me,
And there, proud of his courage, is taken by me.

It can if there are multiple lights on you, but if you have to twist the conditions of the answer to make it fit the riddle, you're overthinking it.
