Tonight at Chipotle, Matt (my colorblind gentleman friend) grabbed a bottle of green tobasco sauce for his burrito. I asked what the difference was between green and red, and he looked confused for a moment and as it turned out, couldn't tell it was green and not red. I love it. I like sitting around imagining what the world looks like if green and red look the same. It bends my brain.
I pulled an all nighter last night, and at 7AM Matt got off work and surprised me with an Easter basket! After insisting that we ignore the existance of Valentines Day, he waited a week and then bought a ton of Valentines stuff 75% off, and left it for me with a love letter written on the receipt that totaled like $3. So keeping with that tradition, he brought me a basket with purple grass (I wonder if he knows it's not green), with easter chocolates and peeps, and a giant chocolate cross, and a copy of his favorite book, AND 2 chocolate covered donuts with sprinkles. It was the best way to start a day that never ended ever.
Did I ever mention here how I slept really badly one night, and kept waking up hungry for a chocolate covered donut with sprinkles, and out of the blue Matt stopped by to surprise me with those exact donuts when he got off work the next morning. What are the odds? We'd never even talked about donuts before.
This last weekend he shot the first part of his film on the Lamar walking bridge. They were out there from dusk till dawn Friday and Sunday night. The first night was the full moon, and unbeknown to us, there are multiple groups of bongo playing, belly dancing, group bike riding hippies that have full moon festivals on the bridge, which made it hard to shoot. The whole experience was so dreamlike to me. The two main actors are around 40, and I love love loved them. They spent the whole time joking about Matt and his script, and using the lines out of context. It was a riot.
I couldn't stop grinning as I watched Matt in action. He's brilliant, and has such a clear picture of what he wants to create, and knows exactly how to do it. He works harder and longer than anyone I've ever seen. I just want to sit around and watch him direct all day every day. And climb things like a monkey to adjust the lights that burn his hands because he doesn't want to waste time getting the gloves. Everything about being there makes me giddy to think about.
My squirrel has been removed from the business school lawn.
Navissi and I are going to a wedding this weekend. I've been reading bridal magazines to get myself pumped up for it.
Juhi is coming into town for the weekend. So I'm staying for the dinner I organized for her, and then heading home right afterwards so that my mom can have enough time to groom me properly so I can properly show off my pedigree at the wedding Saturday evening.
Lauren's MIA as usual. I've talked to her once in the last 6 and a half weeks.
I got hit on in class today. Which is really really unusual in ASE classes. The guy kept trying to strike up witty banter with me during the lecture. It was awkward. And he complimented my graph drawing skills. Which is whack because I have none.
School is stressing me out hardcore. But despite that, life is good. good good good
