Last night I went out to dinner with Caitlin, Kristen, and Mrs. English (we're officially old enough to call her Sherry now) for a semi girl scout reunion. Traffic was ridiculous and I was half an hour late to the restaurant in Rice Village. Luckily, they forgot about that as soon as I walked in the restaurant in my full girl scout uniform. We sat down at the table, and Sherry pulled out four little shot glasses made out of candy canes that she had filled with peppermint schnapps, and we toasted and it was glorious. Afterwards, we went to a bar and I got hassled for the uniform by some people, that turned out to be from Mayde Creek that knew Caitlin.
Sherry is convinced that I'm way way too unconcerned with my personal safety, and completely superficial, and spent the whole night warning me to be smart and not get in dangerous situations, and kept telling me over and over again about this made-for-tv movie she saw on the christian channel about how you can't be happy if you only marry for money. it was ridiculous and mildly offensive, but she had good intentions.
tomorrow we leave for st. louis. i kind of love car trips with my family.
