[So, after ten minutes have passed, Risa is right next to the staircase. Why did Otani want to meet her all of a sudden?]

[Otani was already hanging around the higher steps, only turning away from the window when he saw the girl approach. He slowly walked down, stopping a few steps before the end of staircase. He didn't actually look at her, instead focused on fiddling with something in his pocket.]

We need to...you know, sort this stuff out.

[She looked up as Otani walked down and stopped. Now, they were roughly on the same height and she could look directly into his eyes. Only, he was really looking at her. What's going on?]

Not really, this is still too weird...which is why I'm fixing it right now.

[He managed to look at her in eye and remove the hand from his pocket. If Risa happened to look down she would notice he was holding a small box, clutched tightly in his grip.]

[Really now, he knew he'd be paying back his sister forever in chores and treating her to food when he got home for making the present but well...it just seemed right giving this to her, since he was having a hard time saying the words.]

[Again, he didn't say anything. Really he was still at a loss himself at how it came to this, so the words were still a bit muddled inside his head. But he still had to answer her properly. That left him with only one option.]

[Thanks to the stairs giving him a boost in height, he was easily able to place his hands on her upper arms to keep in balance, before leaning over. He didn't register the look on her face at all, instead just closed his eyes and closed the distance, just enjoying the moment, the feel of it, of kissing Koizumi.]
