Twenty-Second Strike - [Action]
[End of classes usually signals happy, excited chatter and the footsteps of many different students, young and old, as they exit the school building to head home for the day and begin homework or other daily activities like work, chores, or just other hobbies. One student, however, lingers in the playground as the last of the people trickle out slowly.
Presea's sitting on one of the swings, not moving, but just watching her feet. It had been some time since she learned that her father as well as her sister were deceased back home in Tethe'Alla, but it...it still hurt. Badly. A part of her almost expected her father to pass away from his illness, and she seemed to have accepted that much, but...Alicia. How could Alicia be dead, too?! It didn't make sense. She had went to work for a noble family! She couldn't be...she just couldn't be dead!
Presea's hands tightened on the swing's cold chains, but she didn't mind the sting. Her mind was too focused elsewhere. The days had been less than pleasant for her, especially in school. She had been extremely distant, more so than usual, and though she tried to participate in discussions and class activities, it was always with very little enthusiasm. She just couldn't ignore what Sheena told her about Alicia's death.
Exsphere research. Alicia died due to exsphere research. The very same thing she herself had gone through...but her sister died because of it. Was it Vharley as well? Was he responsible? Presea looked down at her feet even more intently, her knuckles turning white from how tightly she was gripping the swing's chains. She had no reason to return home anymore. Her entire family was dead, her village ostracized her because of her...abnormality... What was there to go back to?
...Answers. Definite answers, and retribution for what this atrocity had done to her family. If anything, that could at least provide her with some solace. Presea closed her eyes, leaning heavily on one chain of the swing, feeling pained, angry, and most certainly depressed. What could she do?]
