TM 195 Heroes and Villians
Grampa was a hero. He saved the world a lot and he made people happy and he trained Wally and Wally’s supposed to train me but since he isn’t I don’t know if that’s part of being a hero or not but it’s probably not part of being a villain because Wally’s a hero too and a Flash and we run really fast to help people and have a connection with the Speed Force but that isn’t how all heroes are so there has to be something more to it even though when I started out that’s what I thought being a hero was all about but I’ve learned better since then I think and it isn’t really because of Max’s training on how to slow down because that’s good and everything but it isn’t what’s taught me the most on being a hero.
So if that’s not what makes a hero then what is and I started thinking about this really hard during math when the teacher was droning on and on about fractions and algebra and I’d already read the text book and was bored and so I thought about the heroes I know and I thought about Robin and that he’s a hero and he doesn’t have any powers except for the fact he’s freaky and smart and how come he’s the leader and a hero and I think it’s because he helps people even though he doesn’t have to and he won’t stop until all the villains are gone and I think that’s what makes him a hero and he’s the leader because he thinks things through and I don’t and Kon doesn’t and the girls are weird and he’s good at making plans so that’s why he’s the leader and I think that’s what makes a hero is someone who doesn’t have to help people but does anyway because it’s the right thing to do, because that’s what my Grampa did and Robin does and that’s what everyone does and I try to do.
What makes a villain is easy though because they hurt people for their own gain and don’t care that they’re hurting people so long as what they want to happen happens and the could even kill people and they don’t care because they’re getting what they want whether it’s money or power or bananas.
