:: Mika had been taking advantage of the remaining time at Lotus Blossom Central. She was consistently checking out the movies at the local theater, and learning a lot from them. They were a lot different from what she was used to back on her Earth, and honestly, she sort of liked it ( Read more... )

::Walking out of the theater, Lezard notices Mika, and, deciding she doesn't look particularly busy, strides over to her::
Excuse me, ma'am, but might you have the time? I'm curious as to how much longer I have for exploring before we leave this locale.

::Snaps out of thinking to notice an unfamiliar man looking down at her::

Oh. Well, if I remember right, the train's supposed to leave later tonight. So there's not much time left.

...Who are you, anyway?

Hm. I should probably hurry to the bookshop, then...
::Trailing off, Lezard looks absent for a moment::
... My name?
I am Lezard Valeth.
::He bows slightly::

Mika Seido. ::Responding a bit bluntly::

History, and sciences... Perhaps even books of legends.
I bought books on ancient history several days ago; and it would seem that my home world is a manifestation of a popular series of legends from this one... So, naturally, I am intrigued.

Hm. So; our meeting is a clash of past and future.
::He closes his eyes, pushing his glasses up on his nose, looking thoughtful::
The legends that speak of my world seem to coincide with a time many centuries before the present we currently reside in. I wonder... If this land is so new for me; what kind of technologies have you mastered in your times? Might you share a word with me on the sciences of your homeland?

::Thinking for a moment about how to answer::

In my world, society is under control of the government, and they keep it stable through genetic engineering. They were able to remove the violent tendencies that humans in the past had, and make sure the ratio between women and men stays at nine to one.

We also have a few space stations in orbit and around the solar system. Whatever it takes to ensure humanity's continued existence, I guess.

Simply fascinating.
It truly is amazing the sorts of things humans have created in the centuries placed after mine.
Why, where I come from, magic is our highest science, and its most useful form of aiding humanity is creating unfading lights for the palaces. The ways that studies advance... Incredible.
