:: While the free drinks at the saloon were pretty fun, Mika eventually decided that she had grown tired of it and looked for something else to do. Roaming the streets holding a piece of paper and a card with money to burn, she stopped suddenly when she heard a curious sound from nearby.
Running over to where it was coming from, she was surprised to find a place that was apparently called the Rent-A-Horse. The sound she had heard was that of a whinnying horse, looking for the attention of passersby with its head peeking over the wooden fence. Mika's face lit up as she went closer to greet the horse, carefully placing a finger on its nose. ::
Hey there, fella. You're not something I get to see everyday.
:: The horse attempted to nibble at the piece of paper, which she was holding in the hand she touched it with. Mika pulled back quickly to protect the item. ::
Whoa, hold on! You can't have this, it's the letter I wrote to the captain!
:: Thinking about what she had just said, she opened the paper to look at it and let out a confused sigh. Why was it that she addressed the thing to him, of all people? ::
Captain Amagiwa,
Don't expect me to apologize for being away from the Bilkis. I was taken against my will and I don't know when I'll be able to return. I'm doing well, but I'll be back as soon as I can.
2nd Lieutenant Seido
P.S. I don't want to kill you anymore.
:: That last part made her feel a little embarrassed. Did she miss him or something? She wondered if there was still time to throw this one out and write to her dog instead. ::
