Culver University, Virginia - Sunday Afternoon

Tossing down his gun, Blonksy took the grenade launcher and started to walk toward the beast. Far too calm, far too eager for this fight.

"Cover me," He ordered the soldiers, firing at it. Once. Twice.

The first grenade exploded off Hulk's back, and he turned with a roar. That smarted. He ripped off a piece of the metal that remained of the last thing to try and hurt Hulk, and blocked the next one.

And then he ripped off another piece, slamming both together like a shield, and growled hard.

He smirked, still advancing, and fired again. "Remember me?" The gun dropped, Blonksy launched himself into the air, using the beast to propel himself up and over to the remains of the metal statue behind Banner.

He pulled his service revolver and fired at his head.

Why did they keep pricking in Hulk's head?!

Hulk would have to stop him, and right now. He slammed half his makeshift shield up at the place that man was hiding, and he was going to keep on doing it until he hit him.

Roaring all the way.

Blonsky was moving faster than he should rightly be able to. It was a damn good thing that his instincts kicked in to cause him to push him off and over Banner, landing in a roll and shooting again.

Out of bullets. Figured.

He tossed the gun to the side and moved lightly from one foot to the other. He could take this monster without a weapon.

Hulk smashed one part of shield at him, then into the ground in front of him. Then the other. Then one again. Then the other. "Rrrrrrrrr..."

Moving again too fast, he dodged the blows. Over and then under before falling back as one just missed his feet.

Shit.

He kicked off the metal, rolling back onto his feet. In the earpiece he could hear General Ross shouting to get him to the canons. Now seemed to be the time to turn and run to them.

And now the little man was running.

Hulk took off after him. Would stop him. Now. Maybe then they'd leave him alone. Clinging tightly to both shields, his feet stomped down against the ground, and he roared hard again. Come on!

At top speed he was straining to keep from being over-taken by the thing. Not good, not good.

The sonic cannons on top of the humvees could not arrive fast enough for his liking and as they pulled to a stop, he risked a glance back. Crap.

"DO IT, NOW."

The force knocked him off and to the side, stunned for a moment as he looked to see how it affected Banner.

It was like walking into a wall. A painful, painful wall that kept tearing at Hulk's ears and he slammed the shield up to try and stop it, but it didn't help, it didn't help.

He staggered back, dropping both slabs of metal hard upon the grass and the wall just kept on pushing.

Hulk grabbed his head and his ears at least to stop the sound stop the sound and his knees hit the ground.

Betty struggled free from the soldiers holding her arms, grabbing her father's shirt. "Dad please, please, please..."

He didn't move and the soldiers pulled her off.

"You're killing him!"

What was that?

Hulk knew that voice. Hulk knew that form. He tried to keep his head upright to keep watching her, but it wasn't working. Not with that stupid wall.

He reached out. He snagged the metal. He braced himself in the ground with it.

And then he flung one at the cannon in front of him, as hard as he could. Stop the wall.

The cannon and Humvee was sliced in half, leaving the soldiers inside to scatter as quickly as they could. Because... shit.

Betty pulled against the the grip of the men holding her again, unable to look away from him.

That just left one more. Now that Hulk could move, it wasn't hard. He leapt up and smashed down on the second Humvee, destroying it utterly.

He pulled upright, in the middle of what seemed to have become a giant harmonica, and roared his angry, angry victory into the sky.

Blonksy could hear Ross shouting in the earpiece again. "Where are my gunships?!" But he was a little too busy picking up the gun of one of the fallen soldiers, firing at Banner again and walking up close.

He tossed it to the side. "Is that it?" He asked, not looking too impressed.

Ross in his ear again. "Blonsky, pull back."

He pulled the earpiece out.

"Is that the best you've got?"

Hulk stared down at the little man. The little, little man who had just shot things at him and made the wall appear.

He growled once. And kicked him.

All the way up against a tree in the distance, where Blonsky collapsed like a rag doll made of bruised flesh and broken bones.
