Apartment Above Stark Industries, Saturday Morning

Apr 11, 2009 09:39

Tony was sleeping for a change this morning. This in itself was a bit of a shock considering he hadn't even needed a few glasses of scotch to drift off last night.

So now he was simply enjoying the ridiculously high thread count sheets and the calm, quiet morning.

[[I DEMAND SPAWN TO RUIN THIS. DEMAAAAAAAAND.]]

Maria Honor Stark stood in the doorway and sighed, arms folded. "Dad!" she said, then repeated herself more loudly. "Daaaaaad. You were supposed to show me programming this morning! Get up already!"

[OOC: Probably for epic SP.]

Tony cracked an eye open, giving the ceiling a look that implied this better be a joke. "Jarvis, what is that?"

"A small child. Sir."

"I'm not small! It's Mariiiiiiiiia," Maria said, going over to tug on the sheets. "Come on. I can't fall behind in my classes, you know that."

"Hey!" Tony sat up and gave her a dirty look. "Go find your mommy. Elsewhere."

Alexander didn't even bother knocking as he walked into the room, looking at his PDA. "I was supposed to have a nine o'clock," he informed the shape on the bed. "Are you going to get up, or shall I sic Mother or Pepper on you?"

Tony just looked up at the camera in his room. "Jarvis, do I need to reprogram your security entirely?"

"You programmed Jarvis to keep us out? Really? Isn't that a bit extreme?" he sighed, walking closer to lean on the bed. He wasn't going to climb on it. That would wrinkle his suit, and it was something little kids did. "Jarvis has an excellent sense of self-preservation, he's not going to say 'no' to Mother if she decides she wants to come in."

"Excuse me... Mother?" Tony did not have enough caffeine for this.

And Justice was nice. Justice was going to let her father sleep, because it was nice. She was a big girl, and very resourceful, and did not need the man or her parents to keep herself entertained, and so she was just going to go and make herself a nice fort out of all the pretty things in her father's closet.

Of course, this plan of not waking her father up while she did this kind of got ruined when she decided she needed a big sheet for the fort and dutifully went to snag one from the bed, the one Tony was actually sleeping on, yanking and pulling and tugging at it with all her might.

Which wasn't much, so it was kind of slow going here.

Which is what slowly woke Tony up. At least this was less shocking and more... still shocking.

"Do I need to lock my door better?"

Justice was attempting to increase her efforts by wrapping herself in the sheet and then using her body weight, because that was going to work.

"I picked it!" she chirped.

No, she didn't. The only thing Justice could pick was her nose. And her clothes, since it was very clear that the girl insisted on dressing herself.

...great. Jarvis was letting in homeless children. "Right. Let's go find your mother."

Steve knocked, at least. "Tony? You awake yet?"

Tony was awake now and more than a little annoyed. He opened the door to glare at whoever was there now. "Are you being followed by children?"

The broad grin on Steve's face flickered for a moment. "No. I don't have any children." Then it was back. A little forced, but back. "Do you?"

"I have had three arrive this morning." If the state of his apartment didn't give that one away.
